Seahouses to Embleton – 10 December 2022
Well, it’s the last one of the year. Hasn’t it come around really quickly, there we were walking through the winter and all of a sudden it was spring and then summer. All those walks in the sunshine and then into a long Autumn and now you can feel the start of winter again when we go out. If you haven’t done so recently have a look at our Gallery page, even if it only it’s only the front page of the gallery and not the individual walks and you see the kind of weather we walked in this year.
This walk is like a semi-repeat of the one we did in January of this year when we walked from Bamburgh to Embleton. Our walk programme has the walk from Longhoughton to Embleton but as the distance along the coast from Longhoughton is quite short the start has been changed to Seahouses and as usual, there is only one route. When we finished in Embleton the Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel was so nice that it was decided we would come back and have a buffet meal there on our last walk of the year.
The way dates have worked out this year we are finishing the year quite early in December, next year our last walk is planned for the 23rd December. Our first walk next year is on the 7th January and we are finishing in Rothbury. You can check out the programme for 2023 on our Walk Programme page
