Embleton to Bamburgh – 25 September 2021

This was our first walk of 2020 and at that time we had been to Bamburgh six times over the years, the last time being in 2017. So we have been backwards and forwards, sometimes walking away from it and at other times walking towards it. This particular time we are walking towards it.

Quite some time ago in September 2012, we did some inland routes from Embleton to Bamburgh but this time much as we did in 2020 we are going to do some beach walking instead and get sand on our boots.

We only have two walks out on Saturday, a 10.5-mile route and an 8-mile route.

The 10.5-mile route starts at the junction of the B1339 and B1340 roads and heads east down a minor road leading towards High Newton-by-the-Sea. The route then heads along the coast through Beadnell and Seahouses all the way to Bamburgh. The 8-mile route starts just opposite Seahouses Golf Club and heads along the coast past Bamburgh and skirts the edge of Budle Bay before coming back into Bamburgh along the B1342 road.

So if you would like to join us for a forward-looking walk you can get in touch with us using the Contact Page of our website and you can download the GPX routes here.
