Longhoughton to Beadnell – 22 June 2024
January 2005 is the last time we finished in Beadnell. Whenever we walk the Northumberland coast either south or north, Beadnell is one of those places we pass through. The last time we finished in Beadnell we started well inland on the B6341 road to the west of the main A1 road and all the routes went east and north across farmland until they were close to Beadnell. We only have one coastal walk this year and one coastal walk in Northumberland last year so the routes have changed from those in 2005 so that everyone can walk along this great stretch of coastline.
All of the routes are similar except in mileage, the first two routes begin in Longhoughton and head east to the coast with the 11.5-mile route doing more of the coast before both routes pass through Craster. The 9.5-mile route starts just north of Longhoughton and bypasses Craster before coming to the coast at Dunstanburgh Castle.
Halfway through the year and halfway through the walking programme, what better time to come on a walk. You can get in touch with us from our Contact Page, you can also download the walk descriptions below and the GPS routes here.
